Trust ID Access Card
Once your application and onboarding are complete, wait for your NHS Professionals ID badge to arrive in the post. Please do not book a shift at SHFT until you have received your NSHP ID card if you are a Bank exclusive or Bank only member. Substantive staff do not require an NHSP ID card and will use their Trust ID card.
System access
Should your role require you to have systems access you will have been provided with the details to apply for your smartcard. Please complete the form and return it to it.procurement@southernhealth.nhs.uk to make an appointment to bring in all your three pieces of ID. The Business Support team will complete your application with you and print you a card to take away. You will also need to e-mail the Business support team with a colour digital photo to add to the card before printing.
Alternatively, if you are already working shifts within Southern Health, you can take your smartcard application form to your local smartcard champion at the Southern Health site you work at to show your three pieces of ID. They will complete your application with you and send this to Business Support with your photo attached. The Business Support team will then print your smartcard and send it to the local smartcard champion.
Once you have received your smartcard you will be sent an email with instructions on how to complete the required training.
