Responsibilities

• Perform initial fracture stabilisation, joint reductions, and application of casts/splints.
• Work closely with A&E, General Surgery, and ICU teams in trauma resuscitation scenarios.
• Conduct daily ward rounds under the supervision of Registrars and Consultants.
• Monitor post-operative patients for complications, infections, and delayed healing.
• Review radiographs, CT scans, and MRI results to assist in treatment decisions.
• Assist in orthopaedic surgeries such as: Hip and knee replacements, Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), Fracture repair procedures, Arthroscopy.
• Conduct orthopaedic clinics under supervision, assessing chronic joint pain, sports injuries, and degenerative conditions.
• Counsel patients on preoperative and postoperative care.
