Days: £11.45 p/h Saturdays/Nights: £16.14 p/h Sunday/Bank Hols: £20.95 p/h

We have flexible Bank shifts and long-term placement opportunities available for band 2 Care Support Workers available at Royal Berkshire Hospital specifically in the following wards and areas:

Elderly Care

Paediatrics

Maternity

General Wards

A&E

Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Have a minimum of 3 months Acute CSW UK community experience within the last 2 years or Currently studying General/Adult Nursing (Student Nurse) and completed a minimum of 12 weeks clinical placement.
  • Currently a Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks’ clinical placements, A QCF Level 2 or above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support, A QCF Level 3 or above Diploma in Healthcare Support, A QCF Level 3 or above Diploma in Health, A QCF Level 2 or above Diploma in Healthcare Support Services or A degree/diploma in nursing and currently do not have an NMC registration
  • To provide the best possible experience for patients/clients/carers and families.
  • To assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the nurse in charge of the unit/ward, undertaking duties and activities, with limited or indirect supervision
  • To maintain records in accordance with Trust guidelines.
  • Undertake regular mandatory training
