NHS Professionals (NHSP), owned by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), works in partnership with hospital Trusts. We provide a bank of highly skilled temporary workers who are looking for a long-term placement, or who want to work flexibly within the NHS. If a hospital or a community team need support, due to sickness, common staff shortages, and general vacancies they call upon our bank members to fill available shifts. These shifts can be filled via a long term placement or adhoc basis. Our members are all supporting the NHS to provide quality patient care and safety.
We can offer you a great opportunity to provide high quality care working in a number of clinical settings such as acute, mental health or community hospitals within your chosen occupation.
With our recruitment expertise we are a key supplier for many clinical placements to the NHS, meaning we can offer a range of placements for Allied Health Professionals, Healthcare Scientists and Personal Social Services.
Working through the NHSP bank as an Allied Health Professional, Healthcare Scientist or Social Worker means Trusts do not have to rely on expensive agencies. Right now, we have over 130,000 members registered on our bank in various roles, bands, and specialities, saving the NHS over £70 million each year. This money is then reinvested back into the NHS.
The partnership, announced officially on the 20th July 2023 means that NHS Professionals will continue to share best practices and insights with the CSP and their registered physiotherapists. NHS Professionals champion the importance of physiotherapy within the NHS via flexible working and career development opportunities which are available in a wide range of NHS settings throughout England.
James Orr, Managing Director at NHS Professionals said, "We are enormously proud to continue our partnership with the CSP. NHSP is dedicated to supporting the professional development and career pathways of our Bank Members, by ensuring we share best practices through collaboration, education and opportunity."
