Job Title and Grade: Neonatal Nurse – Band 5

Wards Covered: Neonatal Unit

Pay Rates: Days - £15.66 p/h Saturdays/Nights - £20.35 p/h Sunday/Bank Hols - £25.05 p/h

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit Bank Neonatal Nurses to join NHS Professionals and support the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. We have both flexible bank shifts and long-term opportunities available within the Neonatal Unit at Worcester Royal Hospital.

Skills/Responsibilities

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months paid experience at Band 5 level as a Neonatal Nurse in a hospital environment within the last 2 years.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of pediatrics
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.
  • To maintain an ongoing welcoming, caring, and safe environment for neonates and their families.
  • To act as an advocate for the child and their family ensuring provision of appropriate information and support services.
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
  • Undertake regular mandatory training.
