NHS Professionals (NHSP) has been recognised as one of the best UK workplaces for 2026, as part of a prestigious and country-wide survey.

The Sunday Times Best Places to Work celebrates the UK’s top employers, showcasing organisations that are leading the way in employee engagement, workplace culture and overall employee experience, featuring 567 organisations.

It highlights the best workplaces for women, the LGBTQIA+ community, disabled employees, ethnic minorities, younger and older workers, and those where staff enjoy the highest rates of wellbeing.

Nicola McQueen, Chief Executive at NHS Professionals, said:

“I am exceptionally proud that NHSP have secured a place on the  Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, following our first entry in 2025. This achievement showcases the dynamic and values-based culture we have, one that is centred around collaboration and inclusion, while always working to put the NHS, and the patients we serve, first.

"This recognition belongs to the whole NHSP team. Every single member of staff works so hard to promote an inclusive environment – especially our fantastic Staff Support Networks, EDI Council, People Forum, Change Champions and Thrive Ambassadors. This impressive achievement is testament to your commitment and dedication to NHSP – thank you.”

The Sunday Times listing follows NHS Professionals being awarded the Institute of Customer Service ‘ServiceMark’, earlier this year, demonstrating NHSP’s excellence in customer experience across both staff and customers and a sustained commitment to service quality.

Commenting on the Sunday Times achievement, Helen Ives, Chief People Officer at NHS Professionals, said:

“We are delighted to have received this placement, once again. It shows the huge efforts our people make every day to ensure NHSP is a supportive and progressive place to work in the healthcare staffing sector. This listing makes me immensely proud of the work we do as the largest provider of flexible workforce to the NHS. The NHSP team are committed to building an organisation where people can be at their best and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything they have achieved.”
